Figline Valdarno is located in the Upper Valdarno, between Florence, Siena and Arezzo. The town still preserves part of the medieval town walls and some impressive towers. The great town square is characterized by loggias. Here you will find the Church of Santa Maria from 1257 with a fresco from the 1500 where San Romolo hands the city of Figline with its walls to the Virgin Mary. In the historic centre of Figline Valdarno there is the Town Hall, Praetorian Palace, and looking closely at this tower with the clock you will see that it is actually a leaning tower. We suggest you visit the Church of San Pietro al Terreno, whose origins date back to the twelfth century and the Convent of San Francesco with its beautiful cloister. Particularly interesting is the small Chapel of Mota, the Church of Santa Maria a Ponterosso and the Church of San Romolo a Gaville which dates back to the year 1000.
