Montescudaio is a beautiful village that is located on a hill of Pisa. To see the Church of St. Andrew, in the past an abbey, and the nearby castle with the beautiful Tower Guardiola. In the square of the castle there is the Church of Santa Maria Assunta from which you have a wonderful view. If you like walking you can follow the medieval street called Via dei Pellegrini and see the ancient Abbey, the medieval fountains and the natural oasis of Scornabecchi.

The village of Montescudaio is famous for its traditional products, especially for wine DOC Montescudaio. The town is situated along the Wine Road of the Etruscan Coast and offers a high quality wine which over the years has become increasingly popular and today it has received the DOC designation. The wines produced in Montescudaio are of two different types: white and red. White is produced with Malvasia, Trebbiano and Vermentino while red is produced with grapes Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Malvasia.
