Location The villa stands at an altitude of about 250 meters on the hills that surround Lucca, the town in north-western Tuscany renowned for its 16th-17th century walls, considered among the most well-preserved in Europe. With its monuments and palaces, Lucca is one of the most important Tuscan cities of art. Widely renowned are the Duomo dedicated to San Martino - which houses the famous funerary monument to Ilaria del Carretto by Jacopo della Quercia -, the church of San Michele in Foro, the Torre Guinigi and the Torre delle Ore. The narrow Via Fillungo is Lucca main shopping street. Every year the town of the Museo Nazionale del Fumetto e dell'Immagine hosts Lucca Comics and Games, an international festival devoted to comics, role playing, board games and animation. In the summer, Lucca Summer Festival attracts to the town many music lovers. Description The villa stands in a 70-hectare property just a few kilometers from Lucca historic center and the beaches of Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore, which are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day jaunts. The building, which was once an annex to the 18th-century villa nearby, has been completely renovated and furnished merging rustic style with modern design. A dozen meters from the house lies the private swimming pool (6x4 m; depth: 1.20 m), furnished with parasols, deck chairs and sun loungers. A veranda accessed from the kitchen is furnished for dining outdoor and features a lighting system. Accommodation The villa is a three-story building consisting of fully equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms, three twin bedrooms, laundry area and two bathrooms with shower. Facilities and Services The villa is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, fridge, freezer, electric oven, pots and pans, ironing equipment, clotheshorse, wine rack with wine list and private uncovered car parking place. A baby sitter, a cook and some bicycles are supplied upon request (additional charges apply). Cooking lessons, ceremonies with catering service, guided tours and bike excursions, beauty treatments, tasting events, shuttle and helicopter shuttle services are organized upon request. Additional charges apply for the above-mentioned services. Shops and services of any kind are 2 kilometers from the villa. A bus stop is about 2 kilometers from the estate.
