Built in the 16th century, the stone villa (8 sleeping accommodations) stands in panoramic position in Massa Sassorosso, a climatic resort in Garfagnana situated 850 meters above sea level, between the beaches of Versilia and Lucca. The villa is the ideal accommodation for those who like hiking in the mountains, who can organise wonderful excursions to the most important and picturesque places of Upper Garfagnana: Castelnuovo, the main town of the region, San Pellegrino in Alpe, Campocatino, the famous Grotta del vento (Wind Cave), the lake of Vagli and Barga. Not far from the villa stretches the Parco Naturale dell`Orecchiella (Orecchiella Natural Park). The Versilian golden beaches and important cities of art, such as Florence, Lucca and Pisa, are within easy reach as well.

Surrounded by a small garden in which lays the private swimming pool (7.5x5.5 m), the building has been carefully renovated with an eye to its original elements and furnished with ancient pieces of furniture.

The covered balcony overlooks the surrounding countryside and is furnished for eating al fresco.
