Location
The villa stands in panoramic position at an altitude of about 420 meters above sea level on a hill of Val d'Orcia, a few kilometers from San Casciano dei Bagni, in the province of Siena.
Thanks to its 42 springs of thermal water having a flow of 5.5 million liters of water per day, San Casciano dei Bagni is one of the most important thermal towns in Europe.
The therapeutic properties of San Casciano dei Bagni thermal water were already known in Etruscan times, and according to tradition it was Porsenna, lucumo of Chiusi, who founded the so-called "Bagni Chiusini".
In the Middle Ages, San Casciano dei Bagni was involved in the bloody struggle between Guelfs and Ghibellines and was looted in 1495.
At the end of the wars that racked Tuscany up to the first half of the 16th century and with the creation of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni became the favorite destination of princes, noblemen and women, ambassadors, members of the clergy and common people who went to the Tuscan town to treat any disease.
At present the complex of hotels and thermal baths in San Casciano dei Bagni is considered one of best ten in the world.

The villa situated south of Siena, at the border between Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio is the ideal accommodation for those who would like to discover the natural and artistic beauties of Val d'Orcia and central Italy: Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, Mount Amiata and many other cities of art in this part of Italy are within short driving distance.
Staying at the villa, guests will have the opportunity to taste some of Val d'Orcia gastronomic specialties, such as the so-called "pici" (a particular type of fresh pasta) and Pienza pecorino cheese, and the great wines produced in Montalcino and Montepulciano.
Sporty guests can visit the golf club in proximity to the villa.
The panoramic swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.40 m) that lies in the garden is exclusively reserved to guests.
The barbecue equipment is at guests' disposal in the porch furnished for having meals al fresco.

Accommodation
The villa is a two-story building composed of kitchen, dining room, two living rooms with fireplace, laundry room, three double bedrooms (two with an ensuite bathroom with shower), a twin bedroom and two more bathrooms with shower.
All of the rooms on the ground floor have a direct access to the garden.
The first floor is accessed also through an external staircase.
