Location The villa is part of a property near Siena, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Being just a few kilometers from the town of the Palio, the villa is an excellent solution for those who would like to visit Piazza del Campo, the Fonte Gaia and the Torre del Mangia. The Palazzo Comunale, the imposing red-brick building on the square, houses masterpieces by Simone Martini, Ambrogio Lorenzetti and other important Italian artists. A stay at the villa at the beginning of July or mid-August offers the opportunity to attend the famous Palio, which takes place on July 2nd and on August 16th. Description The villa is a traditional Tuscan farmhouse divided into two independent apartments connected by a door on the ground floor and an internal stair. A beautiful garden - with the private swimming pool (5.5x11 m; depth: 2 m) - and 220 hectares of vineyards and olive groves surround the building. Guests have the opportunity to taste the locally produced wine and olive oil. A covered terrace accessed from the living room on the ground floor is equipped for al fresco dining. Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo, Volterra, San Gimignano and other important Tuscan cities of art are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day jaunts. Accommodation The villa is a two-story building consisting of a large kitchen with dining area, a kitchen corner, a large living room with dining area, two smaller living rooms with fireplace, a TV room, a laundry room, five double bedrooms (two with private bathroom with bathtub), three twin bedrooms (one with a private bathroom with shower) and four more bathroom (one with a washing machine). Facilities and Services The villa is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, telephone, oven, microwave oven, freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, tumble dryer and private car parking place. A domestic help is available upon request. Wine tasting events are organized upon request. The wine and olive oil produced in the farm are available for guests to purchase. Shops and services of any kind are 7 kilometers from the villa.
