Location The villa stands at an altitude of about 560 meters on the hills of Val d'Orcia, near Montalcino (Siena). Montalcino is a charming medieval village located south of Siena mainly renowned for being the town of the celebrated Brunello wine. The town is perched on a hillside overlooking a wonderful panorama made of gentle hills covered with olive groves and vineyards. The Rocca, a classic castle with a pentagonal plan, the Palazzo dei Priori and the churches of Sant'Agostino and Sant'Egidio are really worth a visit. And after a walk along the narrow streets of Montalcino, a visit to the nearby abbey of Sant'Antimo is a must. Description The villa is a beautiful stone building that has been carefully renovated and furnished with many period items. A well-kept fully fenced garden stretches around the house. A few meters from the villa lies the private swimming pool (5x9 m; depth: 1.20 m), which is exclusively reserved to guests. A barbecue area is at guests' disposal in the garden. A porch accessed also from the living room and the dining room is furnished with table and chairs for having meals in the open air. Accommodation The villa is a two-story building composed of kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, two double bedrooms (one with a private bathroom with shower), a twin bedroom, a single bedroom with a private bathroom with shower and washing machine and a bathroom with bathtub. Facilities and Services The villa is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, VCR/DVD player, radio/CD player, oven, microwave oven, freezer, telephone, hook-on chair for children and private car parking space. A domestic help is available upon request. Shops and services of any kind are within 500 meters of the villa.
