Location

The farmhouse stands at an altitude of about 810 meters on the hills of Val d'Orcia, just a few kilometers from Mount Amiata.

Val d'Orcia is a region of southern Tuscany that owes its name to the River Orcia, which flows through it. The whole valley is a wide protected park - called Valdorcia Artistic, Natural and Cultural Park - that UNESCO inserted in the list of the World Heritage sites in 2004.

The area is scattered with medieval villages and castles immersed in a stunning landscape. The most famous towns and places of interest are Montalcino, Pienza, the abbey of Sant'Antimo and Montepulciano. The region features also two widely renowned thermal towns: Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni.

Moreover, Val d'Orcia is the land of celebrated wines, such as the Brunello and the Rosso of Montalcino and the Nobile of Montepulciano, an excellent extra-virgin olive oil and tasty cheeses and cured meats.


Description

The farmhouse is immersed in the green countryside that stretches between Bagni San Filippo and Radicofani.

The swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.10-1.40 m) is at guests' disposal in the wide garden that surrounds the elegant stone building, furnished for having meals in the open air. The poolside is equipped with sun loungers and parasols.

In proximity to the farmhouse passes the so-called Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrim road running from northern Europe to Rome, along which guests can have pleasant walks and bicycle and horseback rides. Sporty guests can visit the tennis club and the riding stable within a few kilometers from the property. Bagni San Filippo and its thermal baths are near the estate, as well.
The whole Val d'Orcia, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Florence and other important Tuscan tourist destinations are within short driving distance.


Accommodation

The farmhouse consists of five independent apartments and a double bedroom with bathroom.

Apartment 1 composes of kitchen with double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Apartment 2 composes of kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Apartment 3 consists of kitchen with double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Apartment 4 consists of kitchen, two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and three bathrooms.
Apartment 5 comprises the kitchen, two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and two bathrooms.
The farmhouse features also an independent double bedroom with a bathroom.

Three extra single beds can be added in the apartments 4 and 5 upon request.

The farmhouse is equipped with fireplace, oven and private car parking place.
A breakfast services and a domestic help are available upon request.

A restaurant is 2 kilometers from the farmhouse.
Shops and services of any kind are 7 kilometers from the property.
Bagni San Filippo thermal baths, a riding stable and a tennis club are within 8 kilometers of the estate.
