Location
The farmhouse stands at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level on the hills of Valdichiana, in Marciano della Chiana (Arezzo), the smallest municipality in the whole valley.
The territory of Marciano was already inhabited in Etruscan times, as demonstrate the many archaeological finds brought to light in the area, including the celebrated "Bust of Marciano", which belonged to a statue representing a soldier. Mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1084, in the 12th century Marciano passed under the rule of Arezzo. It is in this period that the Longobard fortress was enlarged, encircled with walls and reinforced with a donjon and four towers.
In the 14th century Marciano was at the center of the struggle between Siena and Florence, which conquered the town in 1384. Two centuries later the area was the theater of the famous battle of Scannagallo.
Description
Surrounded by a 7000-square-meter garden dotted with pine and olive trees, firs and oaks, the farmhouse stands in panoramic and airy position and enjoys a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. The owners of the estate organize amusing walks in the neighborhood for nature lovers. Alternatively, guests can rent mountain bikes in proximity to the property.
The wide garden that stretches around the building is furnished with tables and chairs; in the garden are also a swing, a bowl pitch and table-tennis table. A paved terrace is furnished for having meals al fresco. The private swimming pool (6x12 m; depth: 1.30 m) that lies about 15 meters from the house is equipped with sunshades, deck chairs and cold and warm shower.
Accommodation
The farmhouse is a two-story building composed of fully equipped kitchen, dinette, living room with fireplace and two single sofa beds, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, two bedrooms with two single beds that can be united to form a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds that cannot be united and two more bathrooms.
The double bedroom opens onto a covered panoramic balcony.

The farmhouse comes with barbecue equipment, swing, bowl pitch, table-tennis table, working fireplace, aerators, DVD player, stereo system with CD player, fridge, hairdryer, safe and private car parking place.
A maid service and a baby sitter are available upon request.
Guests can order gourmet dinners to be served in the terrace.
Cooking lessons are organized in four languages.
In August, a personal trainer is at guests' disposal every morning.
Shops and services are in Marciano della Chiana, 1.5 kilometers from the farmhouse.
