Location

The complex stands at an altitude of about 340 meters on a hill in Valdichiana, just a few kilometers from the small Etruscan town of Foiano della Chiana (Arezzo).

The first town to declare its independence in 1084, over the centuries Foiano della Chiana was at the center of the bloody struggle between Florence, Siena and Arezzo. After a short period of Sienese domination in the 12th century, Arezzo conquered the town and ruled it until 1336, when it was conquered by Florence.

In 1554, close to Foiano della Chiana, precisely in Pozzo della Chiana, the Florentine army defeated Siena in the famous battle of Scannagallo, which every year is re-enacted at the end of May. Every year in Foiano della Chiana is also held a celebrated carnival.


Description

The farmhouse and the annex dating to the late 19th century are surrounded by a beautiful fully fenced garden dotted with fruit trees and plants. A part of the garden houses a children's playground equipped with swing set, slide, sandbox and a playhouse.
A few meters from the buildings is the private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.10-2.20 m), equipped with an outdoor shower.
A loggia and a gazebo are furnished for guests to have their meals in the open air.
In the garden are also a garden swing and an annex with kitchenette, wood-burning oven and masonry barbecue.

Arezzo, Siena, Florence, the picturesque towns of Valdichiana and the Chianti district are easily reached both by car and by train.


Accommodation

The complex consists of the main house and an annex.

The main house is a two-story building that composes of kitchen, large living room with fireplace and dining area, two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The twin bedroom and one of the double bedrooms have an access to a balcony that overlooks the countryside of Valdichiana.

The annex composes of a triple bedroom and a bathroom with shower and washing machine.

The villa is equipped with outdoor shower, slide, swing set, playhouse, sandbox, garden swing, wood-burning oven, barbecue, fireplace, oven, microwave oven, freezer, American-style coffee maker, moka coffee maker, kettle, kitchen scale, liquidizer, toaster, blender, bottle warmer, sterilizer, high chair, baby-phone, pushchair and private car parking space.
Guests are offered a welcome basket.
Several bikes can be rented upon request.
A cook, a baby sitter and a house cleaner service are available upon request.

Shops and services of any kind are 7 kilometers from the villa.
