Location The farmhouse is situated in Upper Valdarno, near Montevarchi, a small town in the province of Arezzo that features many monuments and buildings of historical and artistic relevance. The Palazzo del Podestà, the collegiate church of San Lorenzo and the castle of Caposelvi are the most famous symbols of the town. Montevarchi is just a few kilometers from the Chianti region, where many wineries offer guided tours to their cellars and organized wine and farm produce tasting events. Description The farmhouse stands at an altitude of 308 meters at the top of a hill and enjoys a splendid view of the valley of the Arno River and Pratomagno forests. Many important Tuscan cities of art and tourist destinations, such as Arezzo, Florence, Siena, the Chianti region and the abbey of Vallombrosa, are easily reached by car for pleasant one-day trips. The wide fully fenced garden that stretches around the farmhouse is equipped for dining in the open air. The beautiful private swimming pool next to the building is exclusively reserved to guests. A bathroom with shower is under the swimming pool. A tennis/basketball/volleyball pitch is at guests' disposal a few dozen meters from the house. Accommodation The farmhouse is a beautiful two-story building with beamed brick ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors consisting of kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, home office, storeroom, two rooms with a double and a single bed (one has a private bathroom with shower), a double bedroom with access to a room with a bunk bed and from there to a bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom that can be converted into a double bedroom, a bathroom with whirlpool bathtub and a bathroom with shower. The kitchen and the living room have a direct access to the garden. Facilities The farmhouse is provided with tennis/volleyball/basketball pitch, external bathroom with shower, barbecue, fireplace, radio/CD player, video cassette recorder/DVD player, microwave oven, freezer, oven, coffee maker, whirlpool bathtub, high chairs and private car parking place. A domestic help and a cook are provided upon request. Wine tasting events and cooking lessons are organized upon request. Services Shops and services of any kind are 1 kilometer from the farmhouse.
