Location The farmhouse is just a few kilometers from Cortona, in Valdichiana, one of the four valleys that compose the province of Arezzo. Mainly renowned for the celebrated Chianina meat, Valdichiana stretches south of Arezzo dotted with medieval villages and castles. While on vacation in this part of Tuscany, tourists cannot certainly miss a visit to Monte San Savino - with its wonderful donjon and tower dating to the 14th century -, the castle of Gargonza - where Dante lived in 1304 - and Lucignano. Description The beautiful stone farmhouse dates back to the 19th century and affords gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. Situated just a few kilometers from the property, Cortona and Lake Trasimeno are easily reached by car, as well as Pienza, Siena, Montepulciano, Arezzo and many other Tuscan and central-Italy tourist destinations. Around the farmhouse stretches a fully fenced garden equipped with a masonry barbecue. The private swimming pool a few meters from the house (10x5 m; depth: 1.20-1.50 m) is fully fenced. The poolside is equipped with a gazebo, a table and some chairs. The swimming pool is surrounded by a wide solarium area and equipped with an external shower. The covered veranda is furnished for dining al fresco. A laundry area with a washing machine is at guests' disposal. Accommodation The farmhouse is a two-story building consisting of kitchen, living room with dining area, double sofa bed and wood-burning stove, a second living room with fireplace, three double bedrooms (one with a private bathroom with whirlpool shower) and two more bathrooms with shower. The kitchen opens onto the covered veranda. The first floor is accessed also from the outside. Two of the bedrooms are air conditioned. Facilities and Services The farmhouse is provided with wide solarium area, external shower, masonry barbecue, fireplace, wood-burning oven, oven, microwave oven. freezer, wine cooler, whirlpool shower and private car parking space. A domestic help is available upon request. Shops and services of any kind are 6 kilometers from the farmhouse.
