Location The farmhouse stands at an altitude of about 250 meters on the hills west of Florence, near Montespertoli, just a few kilometers from the Chianti region. Chianti is the name of the region that stretches between Florence and Siena, where the homonymous wine renowned all over the world is produced. The vast area is also rich in charming medieval villages, castles and churches. Widely renowned are the castle of Panzano, the castle of Brolio and the church of San Leolino. Less famous but equally worth a visit is the Parco delle sculture del Chianti (Chianti sculpture park), a few kilometers from Siena. A tour of the Chianti region offers the opportunity to visit the wineries in which the famous wine is produced and to taste one of the most celebrated Tuscan dishes: the beefsteak Florentine style. Description The imposing farmhouse perched in panoramic location on the hills between Florence and San Gimignano affords a splendid view of the vineyards and olive groves that surround the property. The elegant brick building has been renovated with an eye to its original architectural structure and features brick vaulted ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors, which are typical elements of the traditional rustic Tuscan style. Around the building stretches a garden equipped with outdoor furniture for having meals al fresco. The private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.40 m) a few dozen meters from the house is exclusively reserved to guests. An outdoor shower with warm water is near the swimming pool. Many tourist destinations, including Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano, are easily reached by car. Accommodation The farmhouse is a two-story building consisting of two kitchen with dining area, two living rooms with fireplace, a laundry room, three double bedrooms (one with a private bathroom with shower), two twin bedrooms and three more bathrooms with shower. The two twin bedrooms can be converted into double bedrooms upon request. Two bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. Facilities and Services The villa is equipped with barbecue, outdoor shower, fireplace, DVD player, CD player with a collection of CDs, oven, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, iron and private car parking space. A domestic help is available upon request. Dinners with traditional Tuscan dishes are organized upon request. Shops and services of any kind are 3 kilometers from the farmhouse.
