Location

The villa is situated on the hills around Florence, just a few kilometers from Fiesole.

In the 1st century B.C., Fiesole, which in the 4th century B.C. had been one of the most important Etruscan towns, became a Roman colony and enjoyed relative prosperity up to the beginning of the barbarian invasions. In the late 5th century the town began to suffer the political and economic ascent of nearby Florence, which conquered Fiesole in 1125.

Fiesole is widely renowned for its Roman theatre, where every summer are held the shows of the theatre and musical season Estate Fiesolana and for the many villas that the families of the Florentine nobility and aristocracy built in the municipality. The town has been a favorite Italian destination for many foreigners for decades.


Description


The complex consists in a villa built between the 13th and the 18th century and four peasant houses situated in panoramic position in the production area of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini wine.
The windows and the garden that surrounds the houses afford a wonderful view over the typical Tuscan landscape made of olive groves and vineyards.

The ideal accommodation for those who want to relax in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, the villa is an excellent departure point for visiting not only Florence (the center of the town of the lily is just a few kilometers from the complex and is easily reached with public transport means), but also Siena, Arezzo, Pisa and many other famous Tuscan towns.

The houses stand around a swimming pool (9x8 m; depth: 1.35 m), which is at guests' disposal along with the barbecue equipment.
Guests can also rent some mountain bikes and participate in painting and cooking lessons.
The complex has a small children's playground.
In proximity to the estate are a riding stable and tennis club with a five-a-side football pitch, a sauna and a gym.


Accommodation

The complex composes of four villas and in total sleeps 34+8 guests.
Villa Lecceta is a two-story building composed of kitchen, two living rooms (one with fireplace, four double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower. Two gardens and a panoramic balcony furnished with table, chairs and sunshades are at guests' disposal.

Casa Villa is divided into four independent apartment and consists of three kitchens, a kitchenette, four living rooms (two with a double sofa bed each), five double bedrooms, three twin bedrooms and six bathrooms with shower. Each apartment features a private outdoor area furnished with table, chairs and sunshade.

Fonte Lecceta is an old barn composed of a large room divided into a dining area with kitchenette and a living area with double sofa bed, storeroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The house features a private garden furnished with table, chairs and sunshade.

Fienile is a two-story building composed of a large room divided into a dining area with kitchenette and a living room with double sofa bed, storeroom, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. The private garden is furnished with table, chairs, gazebo and barbecue equipment.


Facilities and Services

The complex is equipped with swimming pool, children's playground with swing, barbecue and private car parking space.
Cooking and painting lessons are organized upon request. Guests can rent some mountain bikes.

Some food shops, a cafe and a newsagent are 700 meters from the villa. Other shops and services are 1 kilometers away.
A riding stable, a tennis club and a golf club are within 10 kilometers of the estate.
