Location

The small villa stands at an altitude of about 370 meters on the hills south of Florence, near Tavarnelle in Val di Pesa.

Tavarnelle in Val di Pesa is a small town in Florentine Chianti that in the Middle Ages was a stopping place for those who traveled between Florence and Siena. At the highest point of the town stands the 13th-century Franciscan Church of Santa Lucia al Borghetto.

A few kilometers from Tavarnelle, San Donato in Poggio is a medieval village still partly walled. The Pieve of San Donato in Poggio, a Romanesque church dating back to the 10th century, houses a terracotta baptismal font by Giovanni della Robbia.

Worth a visit is also the Badia a Passignano, an 11th-century Vallombrosan abbey situated between Tavarnelle and San Donato in Poggio.


Description

The beautiful small villa is part of an estate set in panoramic scenery on the hills of Chianti. The villa enjoys wonderful views of San Gimignano's towers.
The building is surrounded by a wide garden equipped with table, chairs and a masonry barbecue. A few meters from the house lies the panoramic swimming pool (13x6 m; depth: 1.30-2.10 m), which features a whirlpool area.

The villa is the ideal departure point for visiting the whole Chianti region and important Tuscan cities of art, such as San Gimignano, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo, which are all within easy driving distance.

The small villa is a two-story building consisting of dining area with kitchen corner and fireplace, living room, laundry room, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom that can be converted into a double one, a bathroom with shower and a half bathroom.

All of the rooms have a direct access to the outside.
