Location
The villa stands in a peaceful and panoramic position at an altitude of about 257 meters near Montespertoli (Florence), in the Chianti district.
Montespertoli is a municipality in central Tuscan, and one of the widest in the province of Florence. Like many other Tuscan towns, Montespertoli stands in an area that in the past was inhabited by the Etruscans and Romans, but the first written evidence relative to the presence of villages in the area date from the 11th century. The Machiavelli family acquired the burg of Montespertoli in 1393; then in the 15th century the town was for a short period a free commune. In the following centuries the history of the town was strictly connected to the vicissitudes of the Florentine aristocratic families who possessed large farms in the area.
Since 1996 the municipality of Montespertoli (a part of which was formerly included in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini sub-region) has been part of the homonymous Chianti sub-zone.
Description
The comfortable country villa is furnished in rustic style and features a loggia with a table and some chairs for guests to have their meals al fresco. The one-story building is surrounded by a wide garden in which lies the above-ground swimming pool (7.30x3.60 m; depth: 1.20 m). The barbecue equipment is at guests' disposal.
The villa is just some 20 kilometers from Florence historic center, which is easily reached by bus from Montespertoli. Many Tuscan places of tourist interest, such as the Chianti region, Vinci, Certaldo, Montelupo Fiorentino, Siena and San Gimignano, are within short driving distance.
Accommodation
The villa composes of kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace and direct access to the loggia and the garden, four double bedrooms (one with a direct access to the loggia) and two bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower).
A supplementary single bed is added in one of the bedrooms upon request.
