Location The farmhouse stands at an altitude of about 420 meters in the heart of Florentine Chianti, just a few kilometers from the capital town of Tuscany. The Chianti region and its gentle green hills are renowned all over the world thanks to the homonymous wine. Actually, the wine is not the only notable aspect of this part of Tuscany: the region divided into the provinces of Florence and Siena is scattered with many small medieval hamlets, ancient parish churches, castles and villas of the rich and noble Florentine and Sienese families that house a variety of still less-renowned art treasures. Description Situated in the heart of Florentine Chianti, the farmhouse is the ideal lodging for those who want to have a tour of the wineries that produce the wine to which the region owes its name, as well as for those who want to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and many other important Tuscan cities of art. Renovated and divided into two apartments, the 17th-century stone building is furnished in rustic style and features traditional elements of the Tuscan architecture, such as terracotta-tiled floor and beamed ceilings. Around the building stretch a vineyard, an olive grove and an English garden in which are the private swimming pool (12x6 m; depth: 1.20-2 m), a five-a-side-football pitch and the barbecue equipment. An iron pergola is furnished for having meals in the open air. The owners of the farmhouse live nearby and will be glad to help their guests in case of need. Accommodation The farmhouse is a two-story building divided into four apartments. On the ground floor are three apartment; in total they offer two kitchens, a dining room, two living rooms (one with a double bed), three double bedrooms and five bathrooms The apartment on the ground floor composes of kitchen/living room and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower. The apartment on the first floor consists of kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, a single bedroom, two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. The balcony on the first floor commands the hills of Chianti. Facilities and Services The farmhouse is equipped with barbecue, working fireplace, five-a-side-football pitch, ping-pong table, oven, microwave oven and covered private car parking space. Lunches, dinners and cooking lessons are organized upon request. A cook and a breakfast service are available upon request. Guests can purchase the produce of the farm. A restaurant is 3 kilometers from the farmhouse. Shops and services of any kind are 4 kilometers from the property. A golf club is 27 kilometers from the estate.
