Tuscany Vacation Villas

Location

The villa stands at an altitude of 100 meters in Florentine countryside, near the charming village of Certaldo, a very few kilometers from San Gimignano and at the border with the Chianti Classico region.

Certaldo's ancient town center has maintained its medieval aspect. Particularly interesting are the church of Saints Jacopo and Filippo and the Palazzo Pretorio, which houses 15th-century frescoes and chinaware. Giovanni Boccaccio's house is worth a visit, as well. Boccaccio was the Italian artist who wrote the famous Decameron.

Every year, the medieval town hosts many cultural and artistic events, including an important international street theater festival called "Mercantia".


Description

The villa is located in a very peaceful area in the Tuscan countryside, near Certaldo and Montespertoli, in Florentine Chianti hills. The splendid view from the garden and the windows of the villa stretches up to the tower of nearby San Gimignano.
Florence and its monuments, Siena, the Chianti region, Volterra, Pisa and Lucca are within easy driving distance.

In the wide garden that surrounds the ancient barn renovated and converted into a welcoming country house are the private swimming pool (12x4 m; depth: 1.20-1.80 m), an outdoor shower and a kitchen equipped with barbecue and electric stove.
The terrace in front of the kitchen and the indoor dining area is furnished for having meals al fresco.


Accommodation

The villa is a three-story building consisting of a dining area with kitchen corner, two living rooms with fireplace (one of them has also a double sofa bed), three double bedrooms (one with a whirlpool bathtub and private bathroom with shower, and one with a private bathroom with shower), a third bathroom with shower and a half bathroom.

One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has a direct access to the garden.


Facilities

The villa is provided with outdoor shower, external kitchen, barbecue, fireplace, oven, microwave oven, freezer, whirlpool bathtub and private car parking space.
A domestic help is supplied upon request.
