Location The villa stands at an altitude of about 190 meters on the hills of Mugello, a region in north-eastern Tuscany that is rich in charming villages and offers the opportunity to do many outdoor activities, such as trekking, mountain biking, cycle tourism and horseback rides. Lake Bilancino is partly reserved to bathing and to water sports like canoeing and windsurfing. Motor sports lovers can attend the motorcycle grand prix that every year takes place at the circuit of Mugello. Description The beautiful 16th-century villa offers gorgeous views of the surrounding hills covered with cultivated fields and chestnut forests. Florence historic center is a few dozen kilometers from the property and easily reached by train from the nearby railway station in Borgo San Lorenzo. A golf club, an outlet village, the circuit of Mugello and Lake Bilancino are within easy driving distance. A stay at the villa offers also the opportunity to visit the Medicean villa in Cafaggiolo, Villa Demidoff and its marvelous park and Palazzo dei Vicari in Scarperia. A wide garden furnished with barbecue equipment and table and chairs for dining al fresco surrounds the villa. In the garden are also the private swimming pool (10x5.5 m; depth: 1.10 m) and children's swimming pool. A whirlpool bathtub sitting four is on the terrace next to the building. Occasionally the owners live nearby and are glad to help their guests in case of need. Accommodation The property composes of the main house and a small apartment with independent entrance. The main house is on two floors and composes of kitchen, two living rooms (one with a dining area), four double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom, two bathrooms with shower and a bathroom with bathtub.
