The villa is situated at the center of a 90-hectare estate in Empoli countryside, in Certaldo (Florence), Giovanni Boccaccio`s birth town. The elegant building furnished with antiques stands in panoramic position 250 meters above sea level just a few kilometers from Petrognano - that is, what remains of the ancient town of Semifonte, which was destroyed by the Florentines in 1202 - and the medieval villages of Linari and Sant`Appiano. Siena, Florence, Volterra, the Chianti region, San Gimignano and Colle Val d`Elsa are equally within easy driving distance. A riding stable and a tennis club are in proximity to the villa.

Equipped with all comforts (barbecue, working fireplace, air conditioning, satellite TV, Internet connection, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, cot bed and private car parking place), the vacation villa is surrounded by a fully fenced wide garden that features a pavilion with a small bar, a table for having meals al fresco, the laundry room and the private swimming pool (12.5x6.5 m; depth: 1-2.5 m), provided with a dressing room and a bathroom with shower. The estate features also a private chapel. A keeper responsible for the maintainance of the villa will be glad to help guests in case of need. A cook and a domestic help are available upon request.

The villa is a two-story building consisting of kitchen, library with pool table, dining room, living room with dining area and direct access to the garden, two living rooms with fireplace, five double bedrooms (three with ensuite bathroom with shower), a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a room with a French-size bed and a bathroom with shower.
A suite with a double bed and a bathroom with shower is in the outbuilding.
