Location The cozy vacation house is located in the plain at the center of Tuscany, in the triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Pisa, just a few kilometers from the medieval village of Certaldo. The countryside west of Florence is rich in less-renowned but nevertheless interesting small towns. Vinci, which hosts a museum dedicated to Leonardo, who was born here, and Montelupo Fiorentino, the town of ceramics, are within short driving distance. A few kilometers from the house are also Gambassi Terme thermal baths and the Medicean Villa of Cambiano. Description The beautiful recently-renovated house stands at the center of a garden furnished for having meals al fresco. In the garden are also a masonry barbecue and the fully-fenced private swimming pool (4.4x8 m; depth: 1.70 m). A riding stable and a lake for sports fishing are near the house. The most important Tuscan cities of art, including Siena, Florence and Pisa, are easily reached by train, whereas the Chianti district, San Gimignano and Colle Val d'Elsa can be reached by car. Accommodation The house composes of kitchen, living room with dining area, double sofa bed, fireplace and direct access to the garden, a bedroom with a bunk bed, a double bedroom with direct access to the garden and a bathroom with shower. Facilities and Services The house is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, oven, microwave oven, freezer and private car parking place. A maid service is available upon request. Shops and services of any kind, as well as a railway station with train to Siena, Florence and Pisa, are within 6 kilometers. A pizzeria is 250 meters from the property.
